What is ISDN?
ISDN or Integrated Services Digital Network is, in simple terms the ability to record audio for a client live, as if they were in the studio with you. Just like talking on a telephone. Except with ISDN you can connect to anywhere in the World, assuming they also have the ISDN connection. If you're unsure whether or not you have ISDN capability, it's most likely that you don't. Most large companies use ISDN for live video calls & video conferences and many studios now have this feature.Ask them, and they will tell you.
I don't have ISDN, am I doomed as a voice over?
No. Although it is a bonus, it is a luxury. If you don't have ISDN, do not panic. 80% of clients won't even require it, and if they do need it and the job depends on this factor, you can simply search for your local studio.
